In my fantasies, we stand on the edge of eclipsing worlds. Masked Sensuous nudes rule the harsh and impossible environments we create for ourselves. They represent the powerful deities that exist in the everlasting fractions of our personality and being.
I'm trying to break through my worldly barriers, encompassing mystical philosophy about immortality, and duality. In this way my unconscious messages are disguised by beauty and sensuality. When I paint time stands still, my mind is silent and logic is a jack in the box. Auto pilot takes over and I fulfill every conscious desire as it comes. Usually only after a piece is created do I find a connection or meaning to it. I can see how it parallels events of my existence; the emotional overtones being inspired by my mood as is generally everything else.
When I was a child I played with Electronix, and My Little Pony. I watched a lot of sci-fi and horror movies because that's what my father always watched, alongside with The Little Mermaid and Cinderella. Contrasting themes that I find are still very much present in my consciousness. I started drawing when I was in high school which featured mostly animal headed warriors as well as pretty water color flowers. I would copy illustrations from choose your own adventure novels, I collected them incessantly from second hand book shops, never actually following though the adventure; I was too taken by the images and felt compelled to recreate them.
For me the most successful pieces are the ones which can hold my gaze into theirs whether they are masked or not, when the rendering is so smooth so close to the illusion of flesh, getting closer to the reality of their thoughts.
With my Art I hope to inspire that beautiful strange scary and loving place we can all find in ourselves if we just let go.
